Baby Loss Charity Event

Sands United London

A registered charity football team of bereaved fathers who have endured the pain of stillbirth, miscarriage and neonatal death whether before, during or shortly after birth. Typically, men are often forgotten about so they’re breaking the silence for grieving fathers, as it’s been found that many bereaved dads find solace and community through playing football.

Sands United London is a unique way for dads and any men touched by the death of a baby to come together through a shared love of sport and find a support network where they can feel at ease talking about their grief when they’re ready. It is a sad fact that 1 in 4 families never get to bring their babies home either through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death and this charity is there to support these Men, and sport is a lovely way to connect with other people who have this shared experience so they can support each other.

They have our baby loss charity event this Saturday 11th June, from 12pm-6pm at Meridian Sports & Social Club. On the day, there will be a range of exciting entertainment available to all; bouncy castle, gladiator duel, face painting, butterfly tattoo stall, BBQ food and drinks. Including their Ambassador, Jason Pearce, professional footballer who will be managing the side and another special guest appearance from a former Chelsea and England professional footballer.
